1995 No. 27 AGRICULTURAL AND VETERINARY CHEMICALS CODE REGULATIONS - REG 63

Method of securing samples
63. An inspector who takes a sample of any substance or mixture of substances
for the purposes of section 131 or 132 of the Code (which deal with powers of
search and seizure) must ensure that:

   (a)  the sample is contained and sealed in an appropriate vessel or
        package; and

   (b)  the vessel or package is so marked as to clearly identify the sample;
        and

   (c)  the vessel or package cannot be opened, or the identification of the
        sample removed, without breaking the seal; and

   (d)  the sample is stored and transported in such a way that the
        composition of the sample is not altered.
