1990 No. 443 AUSTUDY REGULATIONS - REG 54

Students with disabilities: previous year's study 1
54. (1) The student can get AUSTUDY for a tertiary course only if he or she
passed at least 25% of a normal full-time year's work in his or her last year
of study at that level. 2

(2) However, this rule does not apply if:

   (a)  the student undertook less than 25% of a normal full-time year's work
        in the last year of study; or

   (b)  the student did not have a disability in the last year of study.

(3) If the student did not have a disability in the last year of study, the
normal progress rules in regulation 40 apply to the student. Notes to
regulation 54 1 Progress rules are applied as at the start of the
academic year: see regulation 37. 2 Levels of courses are defined in
regulation 38.
