1990 No. 443 AUSTUDY REGULATIONS - REG 61

What is the maximum living allowance?
61. The maximum living allowance is:

   (a)  $8,330 for a student who has a dependent natural or adoptive child and
        who is not living with his or her spouse or in a de facto
        relationship; or

   (b)  $6,341 for a student who has a spouse and who:

        (i)    has a dependent natural or adoptive child; or

   (ii) would get the special rate of living allowance under regulation 63 if
        he or she did not have a spouse; 1,2 or

   (c)  for all other students - the amount indicated in the following table
        opposite the rate applicable to the student and under the column
        applicable to the student -

Notes to regulation 61 1 Living allowance can be increased by the dependent
spouse allowance: see regulation 64. 2 "Spouse" is defined in subregulation 93
(2).
