1988 NO. 158 CIVIL AVIATION REGULATIONS - REG 142

Vertical air photography
142. (1) A person, other than the holder of an Air Operator's Certificate
authorising operations for the purposes of aerial survey or aerial
photography, shall not take a vertical air photograph.

(2) The Authority may authorise a person, in writing, to take vertical air
photographs in accordance with the terms of the authority, and subregulation
(1) does not apply in relation to photographs so taken.
(3) In this regulation, "vertical air photograph" means a photograph taken
from an aircraft in flight when the optical axis of the camera lens is at an
angle between 75 degrees and 90 degrees with the horizontal plane of the
ground.
