1988 NO. 158 CIVIL AVIATION REGULATIONS - REG 195

Compliance with rules as to lights
195. (1) The provisions of these rules with respect to the lights to be
displayed by aircraft shall be complied with at night and in conditions of
poor visibility.

(2) At night and in conditions of poor visibility no other lights shall be
displayed which may be mistaken for the lights required to be displayed in
pursuance of this Part.

(3) The lights required to be displayed shall not be dazzling.

(4) In the event of the failure of any light which is required by the rules of
this Part to be displayed by an aircraft in flight, the aircraft concerned
shall, if the light cannot immediately be repaired, notify Air Traffic Control
immediately, or, if this is not possible, land as soon as it can do so without
danger.
