4. (1) Subject to any determination made under the Remuneration Tribunals Act
1973-

   (a)  the Chairman, not being a member to whom sub-section 8 (6A) of the Act
        applies, is entitled to be paid such allowances as would be payable to
        him if he were an officer in the Australian Public Service and were
        included in the First Division; and

   (b)  a member, other than the Chairman, is entitled to be paid such
        allowances as would be payable to him if he were an officer in the
        Australian Public Service and were included in the Second Division.

(2) The Chairman, being a member to whom sub-section 8 (6A) of the Act
applies, is entitled to be paid such allowances (other than an annual
allowance and travelling allowance) as would be payable to him if he were an
officer in the Australian Public Service and were included in the First
Division.
