1993 No. 279 CHARTER OF THE UNITED NATIONS (SANCTIONS) REGULATIONS - REG 11

Effect of forfeiture order
11. (1) If the Minister makes a forfeiture order:

   (a)  the vehicle or the cargo vests absolutely in the Commonwealth; and

   (b)  the costs incurred by the Minister, the Minister for Immigration and
        Ethnic Affairs and the Comptroller-General in taking possession of the
        vehicle or cargo:

        (i)    are payable to the Commonwealth by the owner of vehicle or the
               cargo; and

        (ii)   may be recovered by the Commonwealth in a court of competent
               jurisdiction as a debt due to the Commonwealth.

(2) If the Minister makes a forfeiture order, he or she may direct in writing
that the vehicle or the cargo be disposed of, or otherwise dealt with, in
accordance with the direction.
