1981 No. 244 CUSTOMS (ENDANGERED SPECIES) REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 2

2. Regulation 3 of the Customs (Endangered Species) Regulations is amended-
(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (1) "these Regulations" and substituting
"these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears"; and
(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (1) the definitions of "designated
authority" and "the Convention" and substituting the following definitions:



" 'designated authority' means the Minister of State for Home Affairs and
Environment;
'the Convention' means the Convention on International Trade in Endangered
Species of Wild Fauna and Flora done at Washington in the United States of
America on 3 March 1973, as amended and in force on 1 September 1981, a copy
of which is set out in the Schedule.".
