1984 No. 119 DEFENCE FORCE (SALARIES) REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 2

2. After regulation 4D of the Defence Force (Salaries) Regulations the
following regulation is inserted: Service of an Army Chaplain

"4E. (1) A chaplain in the Army who, on a day during the prescribed period,
was-

   (a)  in the classification of Chaplain 4th Class; or

   (b)  in the classification of Chaplain 3rd Class, shall, for the purposes
        of these Regulations, be deemed to have held the rank of Chaplain on
        that day as if paragraph (b) to regulation 4D, as in force during the
        prescribed period, had not applied to him.

(2) In sub-regulation (1), 'prescribed period' means the period from and
including 3 November 1982 to and including the day immediately before the day
on which the making of these regulations was notified in the Gazette.".
