ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION AND BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION REGULATIONS 2000 2000 NO. 181 - REG 12.58

Use of aircraft
(1)
A person must not, in a Commonwealth reserve:

(a)
taxi an aircraft, except in a landing area; or

(b)
land or take-off an aircraft.

Penalty:
30 penalty units.

(2)
A person must not jump, parachute or otherwise disembark from an aircraft in a Commonwealth reserve:

(a)
when the aircraft is in airspace above a Commonwealth reserve; or

(b)
if the person is likely to land in a Commonwealth reserve.

Penalty:
30 penalty units.

(3)
A person must not use an aircraft to drop or lower an object into a Commonwealth reserve.

Penalty:
30 penalty units.

(4)
For subregulation (1) (a), the Director may determine:

(a)
that an area is a landing area; and

(b)
that a landing area may be used:

(i)
in a specified manner; and
(ii)
by an aircraft or a class of aircraft; and
(iii)
at all times, at specified times or during a specified period.
(5)
The Director must tell the Commonwealth authority responsible for aviation safety of a determination made under subregulation (4).
