ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION AND BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION REGULATIONS 2000 2000 NO. 181 - REG 19.01
Allowances for witnesses
- (1)
- This regulation sets out the allowances for travelling and other expenses
that a person summoned by a commissioner to appear as a witness at an inquiry
is entitled to be paid by the Commonwealth.
- (2)
- For subsection 111 (4)
of the Act, a person is entitled to be paid:
- (a)
- reasonable expenses for
travelling to and from the place where the person is required to attend; and
- (b)
- if the person is required to be absent overnight from his or her usual
place of residence reasonable expenses for meals and
accommodation; and
- (c)
- if expenses are payable to a person for being a witness
expenses in accordance with the Second Schedule of the High Court Rules 1952 .
