1990 No. 269 EXTRADITION (TORTURE) REGULATIONS - REG 2
Interpretation
2. In these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears:
``the Act" means the Extradition Act 1988; '' NAME="the_convention"> ``the
Convention" means the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or
Degrading Treatment or Punishment, being the Convention referred to in, and a
copy of the English text of which is set out in the Schedule to, the
Crimes (Torture) Act 1988. ''PRE>
