Support to communities affected by bushfires--payments for child ren

To provide, as child endowment or family allowances within the meaning of paragraph 51(xxiiiA) of the Constitution, one-off payments in relation to bushfires to:

(a) persons who are eligible, in relation to the bushfires, for an amount of Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment under the Social Security Act 1991 that includes the child rate; and

(b) citizen s of New Zealand who hold special category visas and who are eligible, in relation to the bushfires, for Commonwealth ex-gratia assistance that includes an amount in respect of a child or children.
