330 | Australian Apprenticeships Incentives Program | To provide payments to apprentices, employers of apprentices and registered training organisations, to encourage and support the commencement and completion of apprenticeships. This objective also has the effect it would have if it were limited to providing funding: (a) to provide sickness benefits, and benefits to students; or (b) that gives effect to Australia's obligations under any of the following: (i) the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, particularly Articles 4 and 27; (ii) the International Labour Organization's Convention concerning Vocational Guidance and Vocational Training in the Development of Human Resources, particularly Articles 1, 2, 3 and 4; (iii) the International Labour Organization's Convention concerning Employment Policy, particularly Articles 1 and 2; (iv) the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, particularly Articles 2 and 6. |

To provide funding to improve the educational outcomes of children with autism spectrum disorder by providing: (a) training and resources for teachers and other school staff, to assist them to facilitate the development of those children; and (b) training and resources for parents and carers of those children, to assist them to facilitate the development of those children; and (c) a website containing online learning modules and other resources. This objective also has the effect it would have if it were limited to measures: (a) in connection with the use of postal, telegraphic, telephonic and other like services; or (b) to give effect to Australia's obligations under either or both of the following: (i) the Convention on the Rights of the Child, particularly Articles 4, 6, 18, 23, 28 and 29; (ii) the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, particularly Articles 4, 5, 7, 8 and 24. |
332 | Music and Arts Education Initiatives | To promote participation and engagement in music education by Australian students, and to improve the quality of music and arts education and the skills of music and arts teachers by: (a) funding Music Australia to deliver the 'Music: Count Us In' initiative, which provides the following: (i) an opportunity for student participation in music education programs and a national event at which students sing a song at the same time; (ii) professional support for music classes; (iii) online resources and support services; and (b) funding The Song Room Limited to deliver the 'Engaged Learning through the Arts' project which involves: (i) the development of online curriculum resources for all schools through a digital education platform; and (ii) the implementation of arts education programs in disadvantaged schools without music or arts teachers. This objective also has the effect it would have if it were limited to providing funding: (a) in connection with the use of postal, telegraphic, telephonic and other like services; or (b) for the provision of benefits to students; or (c) to give effect to Australia's obligations under either or both of the following: (i) the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, particularly Article 15; (ii) the Convention on the Rights of the Child, particularly Article 31; or (d) for measures that are peculiarly adapted to the government of a nation and cannot otherwise be carried on for the benefit of the nation; or (e) in, or in relation to, a Territory. |
