1986 No. 150 FUTURES INDUSTRY REGULATIONS - REG 31

31. For the purposes of sub-paragraph 160 (5) (a) (iii) of the Act, the
provision of sub-section 139 (4) of the Act do not have effect in relation to
a bank that is a futures broker or futures adviser by reason only of the
giving by the bank of credit to an employee of the bank where-

   (a)  the credit is given for the purpose of enabling or assisting the
        employee to deal in futures contracts; or

   (b)  the bank knows or has reason to believe that the credit will be used
        by the employee for the purpose of dealing in futures contracts.
