1995 No. 296 FAMILY LAW (CHILD ABDUCTION CONVENTION) REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 9

9.1 Subregulation 11 (1): Omit the subregulation, substitute:

"(1) If a person, an institution or another body claims under a law in force
in Australia to have rights of custody of a child who is:

   (a)  removed from Australia to a convention country; or

   (b)  retained in a convention country; the person, institution or other
        body may apply in writing to a responsible Central Authority to have
        the claim transmitted to the Central Authority in the country to which
        the child has been removed or in which the child is retained.".
