1984 No. 425 FAMILY LAW RULES - ORDER 10 RULE 5

5. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Order, a respondent to, or
intervener in, an application in proceedings other than proceedings of a kind
referred to in rule 2 who wishes to defend the application but to raise no new
issue (other than to seek an order as to costs), may, at the earliest
practicable date before the return day of the application, file and serve an
affidavit setting out briefly the matters relied upon.
