1984 No. 425 FAMILY LAW RULES - ORDER 18 RULE 9

Interpretation
9. (1) A reference in paragraph 5 (1) (b) or (c) to an address for service in
relation to a person is a reference to-

   (a)  where the person has an address for service in respect of the
        proceedings in or in relation to which the document is to be
        served-that address; or

   (b)  where the person does not have an address for service as referred to
        in paragraph (a) but has an address for service in respect of other
        proceedings between the same parties, being proceedings in which a
        step has been taken by that person not less than 6 months prior to the
        date of service of the document-that address.

(2) A reference in this Division to service by post shall be read, in a case
where the address at which service is to be effected is overseas, as a
reference to service by post by way of air mail.
