1984 No. 425 FAMILY LAW RULES - ORDER 23 RULE 7

Service on infirm persons
7. (1) Unless a court exercising jurisdiction under the Act otherwise orders,
service of a document required by the Act, the Regulations or these Rules to
be served upon an infirm person shall be effected upon that infirm person by
service in accordance with Order 18, paragraph 5 (1) (a), (b) or (c)-

   (a)  if there is a committee of the infirm person-on that committee;

   (b)  if there is no such committee, but there is a committee of the estate
        of the infirm person-on that committee;

   (c)  if there is, pursuant to the law of a State or Territory, a trustee or
        manager of the infirm person-on that trustee or manager; or

   (d)  in any other case-on the person with whom the infirm person is
        residing or the person in whose care the infirm person is.

(2) For the purposes of sub-rule (1), an infirm person who is a patient in a
hospital or nursing home shall be deemed to be in the care of the
superintendent or other person in direct charge of the hospital or nursing
home.
