1984 No. 425 FAMILY LAW RULES - ORDER 7 RULE 4

Proceedings to be numbered
4. (1) Where proceedings are instituted, the Registrar of the filing registry
shall cause a distinguishing number to be allotted to the proceedings.

(2) A document filed in or issued out of a registry of a court in connexion
with particular proceedings shall have the distinguishing number allotted to
the proceedings endorsed on it.

(3) A Registrar may allot to proceedings a distinguishing number allotted to
other proceedings where, in the opinion of the Registrar, it is desirable so
to do.

(4) This rule extends to decrees, orders and agreements registered and
documents filed under the Regulations or these Rules notwithstanding that
proceedings in relation thereto have not been instituted.
