1984 No. 425 FAMILY LAW RULES - ORDER 8 RULE 3
Request not to hear application in absence of parties
3. A respondent to, or joint applicant in, an application for dissolution of
marriage who has been served with a request in accordance with Form 9 may, by
filing a notice in accordance with Form 10, and serving a copy of that notice
upon the applicant not less than 7 days before the day fixed for the hearing
of the proceedings, request the Court not to determine the proceedings in the
absence of the parties.
