21.1 Omit the rule, substitute: Orders without formal application

"3. In proceedings, without formal application, the court, or a Registrar, may
make an order with respect to the following matters:

   (a)  the joint hearing of applications;

   (b)  conferences between the parties with a view to settlement of
        differences relating to financial and custodial proceedings;

   (c)  conferences with court counsellors, welfare officers or marriage
        counsellors;

   (d)  if all parties consent, a mediation conference;

   (e)  attendance by the parties at an information session.".
