1996 No. 253 FAMILY LAW REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 6

6. Transitional refund provision
6.1 This regulation applies to a person who has paid a fee under subparagraph
11 (1) (a) (ii), (b) (ii), (c) (i) or (c) (ii), or paragraph 11 (1) (d), of
the Old Regulations, in respect of a proceeding in the Family Court of
Australia.

6.2 The person may request the Registrar of the Court at which the fee was
paid for a refund of the amount that is the difference between the amount of
the fee paid by the person and the amount of the fee payable for the
proceeding immediately after the commencement of these Regulations.

6.3 A request must be in writing and accompanied by:

   (a)  a receipt; or

   (b)  other evidence of payment of the fee.

6.4 As soon as practicable after receiving a request, the Registrar must pay
the appropriate refund to the person.

6.5 In this regulation:

"Old Regulations" means the Family Law Regulations as in force immediately
before the commencement of these Regulations.
