For section 6 of the Levy Act, the amount of levy for an SBTF fishing right in force on 1 December 1999 is 18.36 cents.

The proportion of this levy that is the research component of the levy will be specified in the Fisheries Research and Development Corporation Regulations. It is intended that the amount of the research component will be 2.17 cents.
