FAMILY LAW RULES 20042003 No. 375 - RULE 12.10
Conduct of pre-trial conference
- (1)
- Each party at a pre-trial conference must:
- (a)
- satisfy the Registrar
that the case is ready for trial; and
- (b)
- provide information to the Registrar, including:
- (i)
- a reasoned assessment of the likely length of a trial;
- (ii)
- the expected length of opening and closing addresses; and
- (iii)
- a list of witnesses and the time needed for examination and
cross-examination of the witnesses.
- (2)
- At the end of the pre-trial conference, the Registrar may:
- (a)
- fix a
trial date; and
- (b)
- make any orders necessary to ensure the parties have the case ready for
trial.
