FAMILY LAW RULES 20042003 No. 375 - RULE 12.10

Conduct of pre-trial conference
(1)
Each party at a pre-trial conference must:

(a)
satisfy the Registrar that the case is ready for trial; and

(b)
provide information to the Registrar, including:

(i)
a reasoned assessment of the likely length of a trial;
(ii)
the expected length of opening and closing addresses; and
(iii)
a list of witnesses and the time needed for examination and cross-examination of the witnesses.
(2)
At the end of the pre-trial conference, the Registrar may:

(a)
fix a trial date; and

(b)
make any orders necessary to ensure the parties have the case ready for trial.
