FAMILY LAW RULES 20042003 No. 375 - RULE 19.01

Application of Chapter 19
(1)
This Chapter applies to costs for work done for a case paid or payable by:

(a)
a client to a lawyer; or

(b)
if paragraph (a) does not apply — one person to another person.

(2) A party may only recover costs from another party in accordance with these Rules or an order.

Note
A self-represented party is not entitled to recover costs for work done for a case (except work done by a lawyer) but, if so ordered, may be entitled to recover some payments.
