FAMILY LAW RULES 20042003 No. 375 - RULE 19.40

Costs in court of summary jurisdiction
(1)
This rule applies to a lawyer doing work for a case:

(a)
conducted in a court of summary jurisdiction; or

(b)
to be determined as a small claim.

Note
For requirements relating to small claims, see rule 11.15.

(2)
The lawyer must not charge for the work a fee that is more than 80% of the amount mentioned in Schedule 3 that may be charged for the work.
