FAMILY LAW RULES 20042003 No. 375 - RULE 4.25

Procedure on first court date
(1)
On the first court date of a Child Support Application or Appeal, the Registrar must conduct:

(a)
for an application made under section 98, 116, 123 or 129 of the Assessment Act — a case assessment conference; and

(b)
for any other application or appeal — a procedural hearing.

Note
The Registry Manager fixes the first court date (see rule 4.03).

(2)
If the application or appeal is not resolved on the first court date, the Registrar may make orders for the future conduct of the case, including the exchange of affidavits between the parties and the listing of the case for hearing.
