FAMILY LAW RULES 20042003 No. 375 - RULE 6.08

Conducting a case by case guardian
(1)
A child or a person with a disability may start, continue, respond to, or seek to intervene in, a case only by a case guardian.

(2)
Subrule (1) does not apply if the court is satisfied that a child understands the nature and possible consequences of the case and is capable of conducting the case.

Note 1
For service on a person with a disability, see rule 7.09.
Note 2
If a case is started by a child or person with a disability without a case guardian, the court may appoint a case guardian to continue the case.
