- A child or a person with a disability may start, continue, respond to, or
seek to intervene in, a case only by a case guardian.
- (2)
- Subrule (1) does
not apply if the court is satisfied that a child understands the nature and
possible consequences of the case and is capable of conducting the case.

without a case guardian, the court may appoint a case guardian to continue the
case.
