(1) Service of a document may be carried out by facsimile only if the total
number of pages (including the cover page) to be transmitted:
- (a)
- is not
more than 25; or
- (b)
- if the person on whom the document is to be served has first agreed to
receiving more than 25 pages is not more than the number of pages
agreed to be transmitted.
(2) A document served by electronic communication must include a cover page
stating:
- (a)
- the sender's name and address;
- (b)
- the name of the person to be served;
- (c)
- the date and time of transmission;
- (d)
- the total number of pages, including the cover page, transmitted;
- (e)
- that the transmission is for service of court documents;
- (f)
- the name and telephone number of a person to contact if there is a problem
with transmission; and
- (g)
- a return electronic address.
