(1) A lawyer may cease to act for a party:
(a) by serving on the party a Notice of Ceasing to Act (Form 9) and,
no sooner than 7 days after serving the notice, filing a copy of the
notice; or
(2) If:
(b) the lawyer ceases to act for the party;
the party's last known residential address is the address for service until the party files a Form 8.
