FEDERAL MAGISTRATES COURT RULES 2001 2001 No. 195- RULE 10.02

Adjournment of first court date
(1)
If the parties agree that, because of short service or other special circumstances, it is not appropriate to proceed on the date fixed the parties may ask a Registrar in writing to adjourn the first court date to another date.

(2)
The Registrar may adjourn the first court date to the date requested by the parties or to another date that is practicable.
