(1) At a meeting of the Gene Technology Technical Advisory Committee, the Chairperson of the Committee must:

(a)

preside; or

(b)

nominate, in writing, a member of the Committee (other than a member to whom paragraph 100 (7A) (a) or (b) of the Act applies) to preside.

(2)

If the Chairperson is temporarily absent from a meeting, the members present must choose a member to preside in the Chairperson's absence.
