Approval of recovery facilities
42. (1) The Minister may approve, in writing, a facility for the purpose of
carrying out recovery operations on amber list hazardous waste imported under
special import permits granted under these Regulations.
(2) The Minister must not approve a facility unless the Minister is satisfied
that the facility is capable of carrying out recovery operations on
amber list hazardous waste in a manner appropriate to give effect to
Australia's obligations under the OECD Decision.
