These Regulations are the Industrial Chemicals (Notification and Assessment) Regulations 1990 .

[2] After subregulation 13 (3)

For paragraph 110 (1) (s) of the Act, the following fees are prescribed in relation to a secondary notification of an industrial chemical:

(a)

if the notification is in relation to a new industrial chemical, other than a synthetic polymer of low concern — $6,480;

(b)

if the notification is in relation to a new industrial chemical that is a synthetic polymer of low concern — $2,800;

(c)

in any other case — no fee is payable.

The Director may remit a part, or the whole, of a fee paid before the commencement of this subregulation for a secondary notification under section 65 of the Act if the notification relates to a listed industrial chemical.

[4] After regulation 16

insert

For subsection 110 (5) of the Act, the Director may wholly or partly waive any fee that would otherwise be payable by a person under paragraph 110 (1) (s) of the Act, if the fee is payable in relation to a notification of a listed industrial chemical.
