1986 No. 239 INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITIONS BUREAU (PRIVILEGES AND IMMUNITIES) REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 1

The International Exhibitions Bureau (Privileges and Immunities) Regulations
are amended by adding at the end the following regulations: Immunities of
representatives to the international conference

"5. (1) A person who is accredited to, or is in attendance at, the
international conference as a representative of a country (other than
Australia) has the immunities specified in paragraph 2 of Part 1 of the Third
Schedule to the Act.

"(2) A person who has ceased to be accredited to, or has attended, the
international conference as a representative of a country (other than
Australia) has the immunities specified in Part II of the Third Schedule to
the Act.

"(3) In this regulation, "the international conference" means the
international conference known as EXPO 88 convened by the Organization to be
held at Brisbane commencing on 30 April 1988 and ending at the expiration of
30 October 1988. Waiver of immunities

"6. The government of a country referred to in regulation 5 may waive any
immunities to which a person upon whom immunities are conferred by that
regulation is entitled by virtue of the Act or these Regulations.".
