1992 No. 367 MIGRATION (1993) REGULATIONS - REG 5.3

5.3. (1) An assurance of support that, as at the end of 19 December 1991, had
been in force for not less than 2 years is taken to have had no effect on or
after 20 December 1991.

(2) An assurance of support that:

   (a)  was given before 20 December 1991 and, at the end of 19 December 1991,
        had been in force for less than 2 years; or

   (b)  is given under this Division on or after 20 December 1991; ceases to
        have effect at the end of 2 years after the day when the applicant
        enters Australia or the grant of his or her application for the
        relevant entry permit, whichever happens later.
