  17.1   Paragraph 40 (1) (b):
Omit "as the result of the death or permanent migration of the child,".
  17.2   Subparagraph 40 (1) (q) (iii):
Omit "27 February", substitute "1 July".
  17.3   Subparagraph 40 (1) (q) (iv):

Omit "lodges", substitute "has lodged".
  17.4   Subparagraph 40 (1) (r) (iii):
Omit "27 February", substitute "1 July".
  17.5   Subparagraph 40 (1) (r) (iv):

Omit "lodges", substitute "has lodged".
  17.6   Subregulation 40 (1):
Add at the end:

"; (t) the applicant satisfies the criteria for the grant of a Yugoslav
(temporary) entry permit.".
  17.7   Paragraph 40 (2) (c):
Omit the paragraph, substitute:

"(c) if the person applied before 19 December 1989 for an entry permit but did
not meet the requirements for the grant of a visa or entry permit under the
Act as in force before 19 December 1989, the person:

        (i)    satisfies the prescribed criteria in relation to a class of
               visas referred to in subparagraph 128 (1) (a) (iv); and

        (ii)   did not apply for an entry permit, before 19 December, on
               economic grounds;".
