                          SCHEDULE 4                    Regulation 3E

MODIFICATIONS OF REGON 4 OF THE ACT
  1.   Subsection 4 (1) (definition of "'basic private table' or 'basic
table'"): Before paragraph (a), insert: "(aa) for nursing care provided to an
outreach patient by Hospital Extension Services Pty. Ltd.-benefits equal to
the lesser of:
   (i)   the fees or charges incurred for the nursing care for
each day on which it is provided; or

        (ii)   $95.45 for each day on which the nursing care is provided.".
  2.   Subsection 4 (1):
After the definition of "organization", insert: "'outreach patient' means an
individual:

   (a)  to whom hospital treatment has been provided in the Royal North Shore
        Hospital Sydney; and

   (b)  to whom nursing care is provided outside the Royal North Shore
        Hospital Sydney by Hospital Extension Services Pty. Ltd. in lieu of
        hospital treatment.".
