NAVIGATION (CONFIDENTIAL MARINE REPORTING SCHEME) REGULATIONS 2004 2004 No. 95 - REG 5
Establishment and purposes of scheme
- (1)
- There is established a scheme (to be known as the Confidential
Marine Reporting Scheme ) for the confidential reporting of reportable
safety issues.
- (2)
- The scheme is to be administered by the
Executive Director.
- (3)
- The purpose of the scheme is to enable the Executive Director:
- (a)
- to
provide a confidential reporting scheme for maritime safety issues; and
- (b)
- to use the reports made under the scheme to identify unsafe procedures,
practices or conditions in order to prevent or lessen the likelihood of
maritime accidents.
