1981 No. 389 NAVIGATION (COMPASS) REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 2

2. Regulation 12 of the Navigation (Compass) Regulations is amended by
omitting paragraphs (1) (a) and (b) and substituting the following paragraphs:

"(a) an applicant who holds-

        (i)    a certificate as Extra Master Class 1 issued under orders made
               in pursuance of regulations made under the Act; or

        (ii)   a certificate recognized for the purposes of the Act as
               equivalent to such a certificate;

   (b)  an applicant who holds-

        (i)    a certificate as Master Class 1 issued under orders made in
               pursuance of regulations made under the Act; or

        (ii)   a certificate recognized for the purposes of the Act as
               equivalent to such a certificate,
and has passed-

        (iii)  the examination the syllabus and conditions of which are
               prescribed by Schedule 2; or

        (iv)   an examination that is certified by the Minister to be
               equivalent to that examination; or".
