Commonwealth Numbered Regulations Commonwealth Numbered Regulations(1) For the purposes of paragraph 49(1)(b) of the Act, the following office holders are prescribed:
(a) a senior office holder who is a member of the Opposition;
(b) the leader of the third largest party in the House of Representatives;
(c) the leader of a minority party;
(d) a shadow Minister (other than a shadow Minister covered by paragraphs (a) to (c).
(2) Subsection (1) applies in relation to a person who holds an office:
(a) so long as the person holds the office; and
(b) for the first person to hold the office after a general election--from the day of the polling day for the election until the person holds the office; and
(c) for the last person to hold the office before a general election--from when the person last held the office until the day before the polling day for the election.
