Part 6 Live animal export
Note
The charge on cattle, sheep and goats is imposed under this Part
to recover the costs, incurred by the Commonwealth and Meat and Livestock
Australia, of transferring the live sheep on board the MV Cormo Express from
Saudi Arabia to Eritrea, and associated costs.
6.1 Definitions for Part 6
"dairy cattle" has the meaning given by Schedule 2 to the Customs Charges Act.
"sheep" includes lambs.

Note
In this Part,
producer means the person who exports the animals from Australia: see clause
8.3 of Schedule 37 to the Collection Regulations.
6.5 Cessation of effect of Part
Note
This clause
may be amended at any time before 30 June 2009 to change this date. For
example if the costs associated with this charge (including the costs of
administering and collecting charge) are recovered by a date earlier than
30 June 2009, this clause will be amended so that this Part ceases
on that earlier date.
