Service of notice requiring an amount to be paid on account of levy

3. For the purposes of sub-section 8 (3) of the Act, the manner of service of
a notice on the master of a ship is-

   (a)  by serving the notice on him personally; or

   (b)  by sending the notice to him by post addressed to him at the ship.
