1979 No. 93 PATENTS REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) - REG 8

8. Regulation 19D of the Patents Regulations is amended-

   (a)  by omitting sub-regulation (1) and substituting the following
        sub-regulation:

" (1) Where an applicant or patentee does not wish to be heard in connection
with the exercise of a discretionary power by the Commissioner, he may request
the Commissioner to exercise his discretionary powers. "; and

   (b)  by omitting sub-regulation (3) and substituting the following
        sub-regulation:

" (3) A reference in this regulation to the exercise of a discretionary power
by the Commissioner, or to the exercise of the Commissioner's discretionary
powers, is a reference to the discretionary powers conferred on the
Commissioner by the Act or these Regulations. ".
