3. Regulation 101 of the Public Service Regulations is amended-

   (a)  by omitting the table in sub-regulation (1) and substituting the
        following table:

   (b)  by omitting sub-regulations (2), (3) and (4) and substituting the
        following sub-regulation:

" (2) For the purposes of sub-regulation (1), an officer who has dependants is
entitled to be paid district allowance as an officer with dependants in
accordance with the table in sub-regulation (1) only where his dependants
reside with him in the locality in respect of which the district allowance is
payable.".
