QUARANTINE REGULATIONS 2000 2000 NO. 129 - REG 13

When, how and where pre-arrival information for aircraft to be given
(1)
For subsection 27B (2) of the Act, the information:

(a)
must be given:

(i)
after take-off and at least 30 minutes before the aircraft starts its descent to arrive at a place in Australia or the Cocos Islands; or
(ii)
if a quarantine officer has notified the commander of the aircraft that the information is to be given at a different time, at that time; and
(b)
must be given to a quarantine officer:

(i)
for an aircraft referred to in paragraph 27B (1) (a) of the Act — at the place or, if there is no quarantine officer at the place, at a landing place; and
(ii)
for an aircraft referred to in paragraph 27B (1) (b) of the Act — at the place or, if there is no quarantine officer at the place, at a landing place or a first port of entry for vessels other than aircraft.

Note

(2)
However, if the information changes after it is given, it must be given again as soon as possible.

(3)
For subsection 27B (2) of the Act, the information may be given by radiocommunication or telecommunication.
