1996 No. 295 RADIOCOMMUNICATIONS STANDARDS (ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY) No. 1 of 1996 - REG 11

Standard for residential, commercial and light industry devices
11. (1) Subject to subclause (2), this clause applies to the performance, in
the frequency band 0 Hz to 400 GHz, of electrical and electronic equipment
that is designed or intended to be directly connected to:

   (a)  a low voltage mains electricity supply; or

   (b)  a dedicated DC source that is intended to interface between the
        equipment and a low voltage mains electricity supply. [NOTE: This
        clause is intended to apply to equipment that would operate in a
        residential, commercial or light-industrial environment.]

(2) This clause does not apply to a device to which clause 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10
applies.

(3) For the purposes of paragraph 162 (1) (a) of the Act, the standard for the
performance of the equipment is the standard set out in Australian/New Zealand
Standard AS/NZS 4251.1:1994, other than:

   (a)  clauses 1 and 5; and
(b) the entry in the second row of the column headed "Basic Standard" in the
table headed "Table 1:Emission".
