An Act to amend the Retail Trading Act 2008 to restrict trading hours on Anzac Day.
I have examined this bill and find it to correspond in all respects with the bill as finally
passed by both Houses.

The Legislature of New South Wales enacts--
1 Name of Act
This Act is the Retail Trading Amendment (Anzac Day Trading Hours) Act 2024.
2 Commencement
This Act commences on the date of assent to this Act.

[1] Section 3 Definitions
Omit "(but only before 1pm)" from section 3(1), definition of restricted trading day.
[2] Section 4 Shops to be closed on restricted trading days
Omit "before 1pm" from section 4(1)(c).
[3] Section 14E Restrictions on granting approval for banks to open
Omit "before 1 pm" from section 14E(1).
[4] Schedule 2 Savings, transitional and other provisions
Insert at the end of Schedule 2--
Part 6 Provision consequent on Retail Trading
Amendment (Anzac Day Trading Hours) Act 2024
12 Exemptions under Shops and Industries Act 1962
(1) This clause applies to a shop to which this schedule, clause 2 applies.
(2) Despite clause 2--
(a) the amendments made by the Retail Trading Amendment (Anzac Day
Trading Hours) Act 2024 apply in relation to the shop, and
(b) the shop is not exempted from the requirement to be kept closed on
Anzac Day.
