CENTENNIAL PARK AND MOORE PARK TRUST

(AMENDMENT) BILL 1992

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This Explanatory Note relates to this Bill as introduced into Parliament)

The object of this Bill is to extend to 20 years the maximum term for which a lease
may be granted over land under the Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust Act 1983 by
the Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust.

At present, section 20 (3) of the Act provides that a lease may not have a term
(including the term of any further lease that may be granted pursuant to an option
contained in the lease) that exceeds 8 years.

Clause 1 specifies the short title of the proposed Act.

Clause 2 provides for the proposed Act to commence on the date of assent.

Clause 3 amends section 20 (3) of the Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust Act
1983 in order to achieve the object stated above.
